What causes a panic attack

There are a variety of things that can cause a panic attack. The causes are different for each person and possibly different for each panic attack. A cause of panic attacks can be better understood as a malfunction of an appropriate response.
Typically, the panic is a response to danger or threat and is appropriate. In scientific circles, panic or anxiety in a short-term basis, is coined the "fight or flight" response, because the effects of panic are designed to help you escape from danger. The main objective is to panic protection and is an appropriate response, but this is not the case for many people, that is, when the panic is no longer a normal defensive reaction to a panic attack. Some people experience panic for tasks simple as making a phone call, that would be considered a panic attack, since there is no inherent danger in making a phone call.
Here are some the causes of this abnormal response:
1. Genetics – is not uncommon for panic disorder or panic attacks to run in families.
2. Emotional / Chemical / biological causes – obsessive compulsive disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, hypoglycemia, hyperthyroidism, Wilson's disease, and many other diseases / Diseases – you'll have to consult with your doctor.
3. Diet – Vitamin B deficiency from inadequate diet or caused by periodic depletion due to infection by the tapeworm parasite may be a trigger of anxiety attacks
4. Phobias
5. Life Causes – Significant personal losses, including the end of an emotional connection with a romantic partner, life transitions, significant life change (death, relocation and employment, etc. …), stimulants such as caffeine and nicotine or other drugs such as marijuana and psilocybin, can act as triggers
6. Medications – side effect of drugs such as Ritalin (methylphenidate).
7. Withdrawal of alcohol, drugs or medicines
9. Negative experiences of the past – Associating certain situations with panic attacks, due to the experience in a particular situation
10.Chronic and / or serious illnesses such as long QT syndrome, and CPVT Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome
