Panic attacks

Panic attacks are the result of an irrational fear of a person, place or situation. Often the individual may not be aware of what triggers an attack, but there will be a common denominator that is present every time, just before the attack. Panic attacks are a form of anxiety disorder, affecting millions of people each year. They come suddenly, often without warning and the symptoms are so similar to a heart attack sufferers who fear they are about to die.
Fortunately, there are treatments available that can put an end to panic attacks. Some people may be prescribed medications, but others prefer to go the alternative path includes cognitive therapy.
Here, the individual will be encouraged to identify the 'trigger' that your mind is identified as a danger to them. If the trigger does not present a danger real or imagined is irrelevant to the subconscious mind, the fact that he realizes the danger is enough to throw it in a panic. Therapist help the patient work with the symptoms of an attack and show them that the symptoms themselves offer no threat. They will then step by step through the trigger (s) who left the account and be taught to desensitize to the stimulant.
Relaxation techniques should be practiced by everyone, especially those sensitive feelings of panic and anxiety. Ten minutes every day sitting in silence, quiet the mind and relax the body will have a positive impact on the well-being of the majority of us.
