I was looking through the web and it seems that some of the options that are gaining Stress, Panic Portal and review of Linden. I was wondering if anyone could recommend any of these or other, and tell me about them. I panic attacks and social anxiety disorder. I'm overcoming social anxiety disorder, but panic attacks seem to be increasing and becoming more serious. I tried traditional therapy, which helped a little. I do not want to take prescription drugs. I tried some and they only made me worse. Also, if anyone has any tips on self-help for the start / Management during a panic attack. Thank you!
Christine, you must first know what the root cause of your anxiety / panic. I agree with you that drugs will only mask the root cause and will not solve the root cause is still within you. There is what is known as "anticipation" reaction to anxiety. When you feel an anxiety attack coming on you should do everything in his power to not allow the cause of anxiety to take your entire body. If this happens, then you will have a panic attack developed. When you feel anxious or a panic attack coming on, your first action is to try and think of someting beautlful, or doing breathing exercises of yoga .. (Just breathing through your nose, taking in much air you can hold). Do not let your stomach muscles to force air out. You want to control the air, leaving it as slow as possible practice through your mouth. this breathing exercise of yoga at home, so you will acquire the habit of doing it right. (Usually two or three max., In all the air that you can through your nose and let it very slowly through your mouth will make you feel very relaxed. I do it myself. One that works 100%. The phobia of any kind, requires behavior modification, reality therapy or hypnosis. (If you say you have been through therapy, is Obviously did not work for you). You must be conditional on his mind, his social phobia, because you say it is getting better. (This means you should be exposing yourself gradually to be around people. Now you'll have to try to find out why your panic attacks are increasing. Once you feel a panic attack that comes in to look around you, or think what is your own mind at the monent .. (Perhaps what is around you or what is your mind at that moment, may be the cause of the panic attack). So if you find the cause, you have to find a workaround to resolve the problem. This is what I do for my patients. I find the root cause of one I never tell them what to do. I will give them alternative solutions, and many must choose which one is best for them. If they ask me about the choice, I can not tell what is the light at the end of the tunnel. Wish you all the best, as panic attacks not are fun. Plus, I'm proud that you will not leave any psychiatrist put it in a controlled substance as Aprazolam, or Tafil Xanax. (All the same drugs). Names depends on which country you live in Clinical Psychiatrist, France Sorry my english
