Panic and anxiety attacks

Does anxiety / panic / depression that are caused by recreational drug use go away?
If someone begins to have panic attacks and depression after the recreational use of drugs, the problems go away eventually? Even if that person has stopped using drugs and anxiety and panic attacks and depression there is still 9 months later?
Perhaps your anxiety and depression have absolutely nothing to do with drug use. If it's been 9 months since you have used, there may be a more serious underlying problem. This really can be the reason you used in the first place. Often, people suffering from emotional problems to use drugs self medicate or escape from their feelings. You should go see a psychiatrist, therapist or counselor to discuss these issues to get to the root of your anxiety and depression. Best of luck:)
