Fear anxiety

For many who suffer from anxiety or panic attacks, the greatest fear is the fear that another attack is coming or going. Fear itself seems to precipitate more feelings of stress and anxiety.

There are actually people living in a prison of their own making for many years because of the anticipation of another attack anxiety. And perhaps it was several years since the last attack. Even if the fear persists. It prevents you from living the life they long for it.

If I could ___________ (fill in the blank), my life would be much better.

What is holding you or your loved one in prison without walls?

  • the fear of being in an auditorium and not be able to reach a quick exit
  • the fear of getting stuck on a bridge in your car
  • the fear that you will be so terrible that can not breathe
  • the fear that you will be alone when the next attack happens and no one will be there to help
  • the list is almost endless …

Getting one more thing – the fear or anticipation of an anxiety attack — may be the days of anxiety attacks and final out of this self-imposed prison. After all, there is the auditorium, or bridge, or not get your breath, or even being alone that keeps him in captivity. It is fear itself. And you know it, not as real as you feel, the fear is rational.

Medication can help take the edge off the fear, but is not the answer. We need to break the cycle of fear building on fear leads to panic attacks or anxiety.

Most people think they are alone in their experiences. And most are embarrassed that they are having anxiety or panic attacks. Therefore they are unwilling to tell anyone about the attacks until it becomes necessary because you just can’t cope any more.
